On monday, march 22, 1982, the virginia beach fire department was notified of a house fire in the 200 block of green springs court. The fire department arrived on scene and was able to contain the fire to within a few rooms saving the house. Frederick wells sr., 48 years old, suffered burns over 80% of his body. Mr. Wells was transported to norfolk general hospital where he died 24 hours later. Police and fire investigators determined during a very exhaustive investigation, the fire was intentionally set and the death of mr. Wells was declared a homicide.Agency
