On 1/5/1980 the body of joe hudson was found in the parking lot of the silver spur bar off u.S. Hwy 19 in port richey, florida. An armed robbery occurred at the bar with two white male subjects robbing the liquor store portion of the bar. As the subjects fled, hudson (who was not working but in the bar at the time) observed the robbery taking place and followed the suspects outside into the parking lot. Hudson was shot by both subjects as they fled. Anyone with information regarding this case should contact the pasco county sheriff's office at (727)834-3292.
