During the evening hours of november 27, 1980 members of the denver police department responded to the area of ellsworth and broadway on a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, 38 year old daniel carlson was found lying on the sidewalk suffering from stab wounds. Mr. Carlson was immediately transported to a local hospital, but died as a result of his significant injuries. Prior to his murder, mr. Carlson worked as a cook.
