On thursday, january 9, 1975 at approximately 7:20 pm a request for police and rescue to respond to the 800 block of shurney lane after a report of several gunshots were heard in the area. Upon arrival, marshall hamilton was found suffering from injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. Mr. Hamilton died from his injury. His body was transported to the state medical examiner’s office where his death was ruled a homicide. Several people were in the area when this murder occurred and may be able to provide information to this murder. Marshall hamilton was a 64 year old black male who was a septic tank business owner and operator. He was 6’ 0’’ tall weighing 200 pounds at the time of his death.
