On saturday, 2/23/1997 in the early morning hours, ruthie ann brown left her residence as a passenger in her friend’s automobile to go the citgo gas station located at 19th and w. Hopkins st. To buy some food. While on the gas station lot, as her friend paid for items at the cashier counter, a suspect entered the driver’s side of the auto and drove off the lot holding ms. Brown at gunpoint inside the vehicle. Two hours later, the victim was found in the backseat of that same automobile, at the rear of 3043 n. 20th st., deceased from a gunshot wound to the head.Agency
