The richmond police department has identified the victim in this morning’s homicide on mosby street as roddell l. Mayfield, 27, of the 700 block of mosby street. At approximately 12:01 a.M., officers responded to the jefferson townhouses in the 700 block of mosby street for the report of a shooting. When police arrived they found roddell l. Mayfield suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after. The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.Agency
