On december 22, 2009, aurora police officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 2500 block of joliet street, where they found 42 year old, jose chavez-deltoro with a single gunshot wound to the head in an alley. He was dressed only in a t-shirt, basketball shorts, and sandals. Investigations revealed that the victim was likely kidnapped from his apartment.
