The victim has been identified as: orlando robinson, b/m, 53, of birmingham, alabama. Officers from the south precinct responded to a call of shots fired in the 700 block of 1st street south. Upon arrival officers located the victim lying in the street unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham fire & rescue along with the jefferson county coroner arrived and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene. South precinct officers located a subject at the scene believed to be involved in the altercation with the victim just before the shooting. That subject was taken into custody.Agency
