On march 17th, 2017, at 9:36 pm, north college hill police department officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the area of the 6500 block of simpson avenue and also dispatched to a report of a vehicle crash two blocks away at 1827 cordova avenue. The crashed vehicle driver was located and found to have been shot. He was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency medical personnel. It was later discovered that the deceased lived in the 6500 block of simpson avenue (the location where the original shots fired call was reported). The victim has been identified as tony laron walls, male-black, 29 years of age. The investigation by the north college hill police department is on-going. Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call the north college hill police department at (513) 521-7171 or crimestoppers at (513) 352-3040.
