On october 12, 2011, at 8:36 p.M., a district four police officer was flagged down at 2600 jefferson avenue by a subject reporting the front seat passenger of his vehicle had been shot. Fire personnel responded, but the victim had succumbed to his injuries. Further investigation determined the location of the shooting was at 2218 rice street. The victim has been identified as 29yr old evan mccray. There is no suspect information to release at this time. The homicide unit will continue to investigate the death of mr. Mccray.Agency
