On september 29, 1995, at approximately 9:35 pm, several individuals heard gunshots near the intersection of n. Albina and killingsworth street. A truck was seen fleeing the area heading south on n. Albina avenue. Police responded to find phillip greene, a 33-year-old african-american man, shot to death. At the time of his death, phillip greene had been living with an acquaintance. He was not involved with any gang or drug activity but was reported to have an explosive temper. The vehicle has been described by witnesses as a small pickup truck with a white or gray canopy over the bed.
