N july 22, 1993, residence heard a single gunshot near the 5900 block of n. Haight avenue and discovered a man down on the curb. Police were called and officers discovered the victim, tyrone jones, a 27-year-old african-american man, had died from a gunshot wound. Tyrone jones had been employed at a gas station near the time of his death and was reported to have been dealing small amounts of marijuana. Mr. Jones was reported to be an associate of a local blood gang, but was not actively participating in gang activities prior to his death. Mr. Jones’ vehicle was found 3 days later less than a mile away from the crime scene.Agency
