On june 6, 1982 during the early morning hours, unknown persons entered the residence of 75yr old richard hayes. The residence had recently been sold and new owners were in the process of moving in. When the new owners returned to the residence on june 6, 1982, they discovered the break in. While investigating the break in, officers discovered mr. Hayes in his bed, deceased.
