Officers responded to 1401 e brooklyn park boulevard on a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found the victim, garrick ellis, lying in the parking lot surrounded by a large crowd and richmond ambulance authority and richmond fire department personnel treating the victim. Officers established a perimeter and located the actual crime scene. The victim was transported to vcu medical center where he died of his injuries at 2254 hours.Agency
