On october 16, 1974, portia perez was last seen by family members. On october 23, 1974, mrs. Perez was reported missing by her son, herb denton, to the denver police department. Several months later, the black or dark blue vehicle mrs. Perez owned was found abandoned on the street. As was customary, the vehicle was towed to the impound lot. On march 19, 1975, the vehicle was determined to be owned by mrs. Perez. During a cursory search, mrs. Perez was found deceased in the trunk of her car.
