Richmond police detectives have now classified february’s death investigation of rachel scott, 42, of beaverdam, va, as a homicide. At approximately 11:42 a.M., on monday, february 14, richmond police were called to the mount calvary cemetery, located in the 1400 block of south randolph street, for the report of a person down. Officers arrived and located an adult female, scott, inside a small gothic-style chamber, down and unresponsive having suffered from an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives have been investigating and have determined the incident to be a homicide.
