Three people were camping inside a tent in the area of 5th avenue and karluk street at about 6 pm when a lone male entered the campsite, pulled the tent door open and proceeded to fire several shots at the people inside. As a result of the shooting, mae melovidov, 47, and robert workman, 55, were killed. The third person was critically injured, but survived the assault. The suspect fled the scene on foot and remains at large.
