On june 29, 1994, at about 7 a.M., douglas broadnax was found lying on the ground deceased near the 4100 block of n albina avenue. He had been shot to death. Mr. Broadnax, a 36-year-old african-american man, was known to often try to sell various items in the neighborhood and had a record for theft and use of drugs. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots in the area from approximately 1:30 am to 2:00 am the same morning. A nearby resident reported seeing mr. Broadnax on the curb at approximately 2:30, but did not realize that he was deceased.
