On march 3, 2003 the victim was involved in an altercation with a group of individuals near the intersection of grove street and west ellsworth avenue. During this altercation, the suspect(s) entered a vehicle just as the victim went to grab the driver. It was at this point that the driver maneuvered the vehicle in a manner that caused the victim to fall away from the vehicle. The suspect then fled the area and drove over the victim. The victim was transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, the victim died just over a week later as a result of his injuries.
