On august 4, 2007, aurora police were sent to 1060 south sable boulevard where the owner of the store reported a shooting. The owner advised police approximately one minute after mr. Powell left his business, he heard one gunshot. Mr. Powell was able to run to 1026 south sable boulevard where he collapsed from a single gunshot wound to his upper torso. Mr. Powell was pronounced dead after arriving at aurora medical center. Investigation found no weapon, witness(s), or motive for this shooting.
