On may 11, 1991, at approximately 0130 hours, unknown persons gained entry into the bloodgood residence through a side kitchen window. While inside, one of the offenders struck both elderly victims with a blunt object around their face and head. The female victim (mattie) sustained a broken nose among her other injuries.
