Detectives request assistance from the public in obtaining information on a recent homicide that occurred on tuesday, march 20, 2023, that claimed the life of kenneth earl harris jr.At around 9:15 pm, west precinct officers were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of buffalo street on report of a person shot.Officers arrived on the scene when they entered a residence and observed kenneth harris jr. Suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.Birmingham fire and rescue personnel arrived on the scene and transported mr. Harris to uab hospital with life-threatening injuries.Uab hospital staff notified birmingham 911 communications the victim passed away the following morning.The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was struck by gunfire after shots were fired into the residence.Agency
