On 11/12/2014, 61yr old alan lapash was out walking with his adult son. As they were nearing a city park, three men approached them on foot. One of the males asked what the son's names was as he reached out his hand, as if to shake hands with him. Instead of shaking hands, the male grabbed his hand, pulled him in and then all three males began assault alan and his son. A nearby resident came to the aid of alan and his son, chasing the suspects off. The three males were never identified. Alan was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries. He later died on september 12, 2015 of head injuries he received during his assault. He had been in a coma since the assault.
