On saturday, december 3, 2016, at approximately 6:26pm, the columbus police department received a call that a person was reported shot near e. Fulton st. And fairwood ave. After the first responding officers circulated the area, a victim was eventually located inside of 1740 e. Fulton st. The victim, later identified as jewel rogers, did not survive her injuries and was pronounced deceased at 6:56pm. There were no known suspects or motives as to why the incident took place.
