At approximately 10:05 pm, west precinct officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of 19th street ensley on report of a person shot. Officers arrived on the scene and observed the victim lying unresponsive in the roadway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham fire and rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased. The preliminary investigation suggests the victim and a separate male were involved in an argument that was domestic in nature. The suspect shot the victim then fled the scene with a female family member of the victim.Agency
