At approximately 1:50 p.M., west precinct officers were dispatched to a person shot call in the 4000 block of jefferson avenue southwest.Officers arrived on the scene and then observed the victim lying unresponsive under an awning of a commercial building suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.Birmingham fire and rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
