1149 lyell ave. Was a well-known gambling joint in rochester run by thomas bertola and some of his associates. At about 1:00 in the afternoon on january 26, 2000 two suspects entered the establishment, tied up 58 year old thomas bertola and committed a robbery. During the course of the robbery bertola died of a heart attack. His death was ruled a criminal homicide.Agency
