Richmond police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a person of interest and locate a vehicle of interest sought in connection to a homicide on west cary street that happened over the memorial day weekend. At approximately 10:09 p.M. On sunday, may 26, officers were called to the 2000 block of parkwood avenue for the report of random gunfire. When officers arrived, they were told that a shooting occurred in the rear alley between parkwood and west cary streets. Officers located jerson s. White behind the 2100 block of west cary street. White was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The person of interest was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and dark-colored shoes. His photos are attached. A black suv, possibly a kia sorento, was seen leaving the scene of where the homicide happened. Attached is a photo of the vehicle and a stock photo of the suv.Agency
