While en route, the call was updated stating a male had been shot at 17th street ensley and avenue I.Officers arrived on the scene and observed an adult male unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.Birmingham fire and rescue arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.The preliminary investigation suggests the victim and an unknown male were involved in a verbal altercation, the unknown male shot the victim and left the scene.Agency
