The other victim’s identity will be released upon formal identification and notification of next of kin. At approximately 3:18 a.M., officers from west precinct responded to a shot spotter call at 2010 48th place southwest. Officers arrived and observed a male victim lying on the ground next to a car with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the upper extremities. Officers also observed the identified victim, johnathan jackson unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Birmingham fire and rescue responded to the scene and both victims were pronounced deceased. There are limited details in this investigation. There are no suspects in custody.
