On january 24, 2004, 19 year old dequincy king was shot in the early morning hours. Colorado springs police department was called to memorial hospital to investigate the shooting of a young man who had been dropped off at the emergency entrance. The investigation revealed a female friend had dropped him off after he had been shot in the parking lot of the papasan's sports bar. Interviews revealed mr. King had been tired and went to the car to rest. He was checked on throughout the night until the early morning hours when he was discovered with a gunshot wound.
