In April 2008, Allentown Police Officers responded to a call for shots fired, in the 1100 block of Union Street. When officers arrived, they discovered the victim, Jean Nerette, near several parked vehicles. Nerette was unresponsive and pronounced dead at the scene. The motive for this crime is unknown
