On july 29, 2021, at 1:34am, columbus police officers were dispatched to the mobil service station at 1509 lockbourne rd. On a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male black victim lying in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, 57yr old richard lane was transported to a local area hospital by medic 15 in critical condition. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 2:02am.Agency
