The victim, montez blake, was homeless and staying in the area of belvidere park. In the early morning hours of aug. 13, 2020, officers were dispatched to independence ave./paseo in regard to a shooting. Upon arrival, the officers discovered blake’s body in the field northwest of the intersection. He suffered from multiple gunshot wounds.
