On april 5 2014, at approximately 8:42 p.M., l.V.M.P.D. Call center received a 911 call from a person reporting an injured male had been discovered unresponsive. Patrol officers and medical personnel responded to the 6900 block of appleton drive. Arriving medical personnel discovered a male later identified as eric ruiz, 25, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Witnesses heard an argument between an unknown number of males; then heard gunshots. Witnesses also observed a male running away westbound from the scene onto carey ave.Agency
