On april 15, 1996 at approximately 9:00 a.M., a person walking their dog discovered a body down an embankment located behind the cromwell field shopping center located in the 7300 block of baltimore annapolis road, glen burnie, maryland. The body was identified as thirty three year old ruth sharlene metcalf from the 1500 block of spruce street, baltimore, maryland. She was fully clothed, wearing white spandex pants with multicolored flowers and a long red sweat shirt. Investigative efforts have been unable to determine if she was murdered at that spot, or if the crime occurred elsewhere and her body was disposed of there. Ms. Metcalf suffered trauma to the upper body and her death was ruled a homicide.
