Cold case spotlight in the early morning hours of monday, december 28th, 1987 the victim, melissa "Missy" taylor ellison, white female, age 20 was found deceased by a roommate. The victim's 13 month old baby girl was found in the trailer unharmed. The incident took place at 3611 colejean road, lot #49, (taylor's trailer park) which was located off of normandy boulevard on the west side of jacksonville, florida. Numerous individuals were interviewed at the time of the incident providing leads that were followed up by detectives. The case was eventually suspended pending any further leads being developed. The jacksonville sheriff's office cold case unit, is asking if any individual who may have information that may help lead to the identity of a potential suspect or suspects to contact either crime stoppers 1-866-845-tips or the jacksonville sheriff's office at 904-630-0500.
