On august 11, 2003, abera asmamaw, a cab driver for western cab co., was found dead inside his cab, in the rear parking lot to smith & wollensky’s restaurant. Abera was discovered at approximately 12:30 p.M. A witness, who was painting a wall to the rear of the restaurant, saw the cab about an hour before sunrise. The cab log showed his last recorded pick-up at the mgm hotel at approximately 5:25 a.M. With a possible destination as mccarran airport. An autopsy determined abera died as the result of strangulation. There are no known witnesses. Robbery is the suspected motive.Agency
