On june 10, 2008 at about 1:45 am officers responded to 281 whitney st for the shotspotter activation. While on the way they received another call for a person shot. When they arrived on scene they located brenda pittman on the porch suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was rushed to the hospital where she ultimately died from her injuries. The resident of the location reported they heard pounding at the door and when they answered it they found pittman on the porch shot. Before brenda passed away she was able to say she was being chased by somebody and then got shot.Agency
