On may 21, 2006, 21-year-old jose coronilla-garcia and his brother were entering their residence on goodyear avenue in lakeland when three black males approached on foot. One of the suspects fired a gun at them. The bullet struck the ground, ricocheted, hit jose’s brother in the leg, and then passed on, hitting jose in the back. He died at the scene.
