Info

Kevin eugene baker, 29, was shot and killed february 3, 1991. He was shot in the head at close range by a gunman trying to rob the the winn-dixie at u.S. 17 and kingsley ave at closing time. Andre antonitis clemons of jacksonville was charged with killing baker. He stood trial three times with each ending in a mistrial. Prosecutors declined to pursue it again. With no physical evidence or eyewitness testimony the prosecution's case was based on inmate testimony claiming clemons bragged about baker's killing. However, clemons' defense attorneys put on witnesses who testified he was bowling when baker was killed.
