On the morning of tuesday, june 5, 1979, fifty year old white male herbert dodson cann sr. Was discovered lying on the ground in the area of west scott and north grandview streets. Cann sr. Was obviously injured and in distress and was transported to the hospital. Mr. Cann sr. Was eventually transferred to a va hospital in the new orleans area, as he was a veteran of the united states military. Herbert dodson cann sr. Died from his injuries on friday, august 10, 1979. Investigation found that herbert dodson cann sr. Was a victim of violence and the apparent victim of murder.
