Karen lynn nelson left her home on the early morning hours of november 30, 1988 never to be seen or heard from again. On february 6, 1989, her sister debra june trujillo reported karen missing to the arapahoe county sheriff's office. During the follow up investigation, the investigating agency was contacted by the morgan county sheriff's office that they had a body that could be our missing person karen. Morgan county sheriff's office had been alerted on december 3, 1988 when mr. Musgrave and his son terry saw something burning in a field off county 12 miles sw on road f near rosener reservoir and went to investigate. There they located a burning body with the head and hands missing. After an autopsy and further testing it was determined the body was indeed karen nelson. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to please contact the arapahoe county sheriff's office.
