On june 20, 2008, at around 9:23 a.M., an unknown suspect entered rightway foods located at 404 us hwy 17-92 north in davenport, where 54-year-old jashavantlal patel worked as a clerk. The suspect attempted to rob the store and pointed a gun at patel. When patel reached under the counter for a pipe, the suspect shot him one time. The incident was captured by the store's surveillance system.
