At approximately 8:43 a.M., officer from west precinct responded to 1633 brookfield lane on reports of a person assaulted. Officers arrived and was alerted by the victim’s daughter that her mother was inside the residence severely wounded. Officers entered and observed the victim garland perry inside the residence suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim succumb to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates the brother of the victim stabbed her multiple times. The suspect left the residence on foot and was found hiding underneath a large cactus bush nearby. The suspect was apprehended and transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment and evaluation.
