On 4/15/1983, joseph sapp was found deceased due to gunshot wounds to the head in the area of the columbia county fairgrounds. His vehicle was seen leaving by witnesses after hearing gunshots. His vehicle was later found abandoned at an apartment complex. Several interviews were conducted with no suspect being identified. It is beleived that joseph was involved in narcotic activity at one point and a large sum of money was withdrawn from his bank account prior to his death.
