35 year old manuel martinez frequented the area of larimer street between 20th and 23rd streets in lower downtown denver. On december 17, 1994, manuel was found beaten to death within an alcove attached to a former dea building near 20th and stout streets. At the time of his death, manuel was living with his mother and rode the bus to and from electrician school. He was known to be religious, having attended catholic seminary school with the goal of becoming a priest.
