On march 15, 1988, a vdot employee discovered a dismembered human body in two green trash bags and a cardboard box on us rt.211, 7 9/10 miles west of luray approximately 25' south of the roadway. The victim was later identified as steven j. Kroll. Kroll had been missing from his home in maryland since february 25, 1988.
