On april 8, 1997, officers responded to 1627 geneva street regarding a fire. Arson investigators advised the victim possibly jumped to his death from his bedroom window. The fire appeared to have been deliberately set. Numerous interviews were conducted with residents, polygraph examinations were administered to the current and previous owner of the apartment building and both individuals passed the polygraph.
