Richmond police detectives have identified the victim in last friday’s homicide on east belt boulevard as herbert thompson, jr., 20, of richmond. At approximately 6:13 p.M., august 6, richmond police responded to the 1700 block of east belt boulevard for a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, an adult female transported in a private vehicle to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Medical examiner will determine manner and cause of death.Agency
